PRECAMBRIAN: North American Paleocurrents are variable across the Craton and show no distinctive continent wide patters.
(At the bottom layer it's the same-once the pre-flood surface of earth)
PALEOZOIC: Paleocurrents show patterns that are continent wide and typically flow to the west and southwest across the continent.
(Without something of the magnitude of a global flood, it would be impossible to have ALL the water flow in one direction across ALL of North America)
MESOZOIC: Patterns are again continent wide and flow east across the continent but west along the active & passive margins.

CENOZOIC: North American paleocurrents become variable in the Neogene and lose the continent wide pattern.
(A leveling off back to variable flow directions)
